What Is Queer Prom?

Queer Prom is an event hosted by Queer Resource Center Millvale, Harold's Haunt, and Maude's Paperwing Gallery for our 21+ queer community to relive and reclaim a teenage milestone by attending a dance as their authentic selves.

    This year, local LGBTQIA+ businesses donated coupons, raffle baskets, and more to promote themselves during Prom. Please keep an eye on our social media to learn all the ways we're promoting local businesses during prom next year!

Monetary donations are tax deductible by donating through the link below or by writing a check to New Sun Rising with "For Queer Resource Center" in the memo line

How Will Donations Be Used?

Donated funds will go towards:

  • Lowering ticket prices so that the event can be affordable to folx at all income levels
  • Paying our wonderful DJ, bar staff, catering, photographers, and everyone else bringing their talents to make the night magical
  • Covering the cost of our wheelchair accessible venue to ensure community members with mobility aids can attend
  • Other decorations and props to provide the full prom experience
  • Additional funds will support Queer Resource Center Millvale Programing, such as Charlie's Charms, Queer Coven, Sober Sundays and more! Learn more about QRC Millvale here.
